The internet and the social media have made political and personal diffamation an everyday occurrence. So-called hate speech is malicious, direct and often not even anonymous anymore. The inciters gain adherents, and their hatred is shared. However, hatred is not a media but a societal problem.
Join us in welcoming Simone Rafael (Amadeu Antonio Stiftung, Berlin), Prof. Bernd Gäbler (Fachhochschule des Mittelstands, Bielefeld), and Dr. Cornelius Puschmann (Hans-Bredow-Institut, Hamburg) for a discussion about how we should deal with hate speech and what strategies we should develop against these corrosive attacks by populists and hatemongers on an open and democratic society.
Guests: Simone Rafael (Amadeu Antonio Stiftung, Berlin), Prof. Bernd Gäbler (Fachhochschule des Mittelstands, Bielefeld), and Dr. Cornelius Puschmann (Hans-Bredow-Institut, Hamburg)
Moderator: Tanja Samrotzki
