December 19, 2015, 5–7 p.m.
26.11.2015, Berlin | Since the beginning of this year, children and youth aged 6 to 18 have been able to take part in the initiative “More than the Sum of Individual Sounds” at the youth club “Die Arche.” Now, the final presentation will fake place on Saturday, December 19, 2015, 5 p.m. In addition to a live performance of the musical piece, an exhibition will show the sound objects and instruments created by the children.
We are continually surrounded by noises and sounds that can be generated by a variety of means. During walks, the young participants collected urban and nature noises and sounds. Based on these individual sound experiences, the participants then built and designed their own sound objects and instruments. The collected and created sounds and noises were recorded in a sound studio in cooperation with professional artists and musicians and arranged into a narrative piece of music. The project for children and youth represents a unique blend of nature, crafts, art/design, and music.
Final presentation: December 19, 5 p.m.
