January 01 – December 31, 2019
Donnerstags von 16-19 Uhr im Atelier. Die Treffen sind offen für alle ab 14 Jahren.
The program Standortwechsel of the Berlinische Galerie and the association Jugend im Museum (Youth in Museums) invites artists or a collective with experience in making art with groups to a weekly residency at the museum.
Over the course of a year, they will have the opportunity to be collectively productive in the exhibitions and in the studio of the Berlinische Galerie.
Kicking off the project, the Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg of the Lebenshilfe assocation meets every Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the studio of the Berlinische Galerie. The meetings are open to people 14 years and older who want to ask questions, develop ideas, and experiment with artistic media through engaging with modern and contemporary art. Over the course of the project, they will develop an artistic intervention at the museum. The public art event aims to gather new voices in the exhibition rooms and to inspire conversations. Standortwechsel is a space of solidarity that is interested in the question of how social inclusion can be realized in the art museum.
Standortwechsel 2019 is an open gathering space for people from different backgrounds and cultures and with different disabilities. The artists of the Kunstwerkstatt Kreuzberg have been cooperating with the Berlinische Galerie since 2017.
