The Berlin artist duo kennedy+swan was selected for this year’s residency program at BIFOLD.

Founded in 2013, the artist duo is the collaborative art practice of Bianca Kennedy and Swan Collective. Their work deals with the future of non-human intelligence and its impact on plants, animals, machines, and humans. kennedy+swan creates immersive video, VR, and AR installations that use a variety of animation techniques such as drawings, stereoscopic films, 3D-scanned landscapes, and customized characters to blur the boundaries between the analog and digital worlds. The duo’s explorations of the impact of Artificial Intelligence on society and ecology are a perfect fit with the mission of the residency program.

Until June 2025, they will work together with BIFOLD scientists on an interdisciplinary project that combines artistic and scientific perspectives on Artificial Intelligence. The results of their collaboration will be presented in a public exhibition at UNI_VERSUM, TU Berlin.
