The first Art & Science Conference, which will take place on November 8 as part of Berlin Science Week, offers a unique platform for dialogue and networking among professionals in the arts and sciences. Featuring a dynamic program consisting of workshops, talks, and performances, the event seeks to promote a fruitful synergy between artistic creativity and scientific research.
The conference day will kick off with Forecast Condensed: Coding the Human – We Have Become Tools in the Hands of Our Tools, where pioneers of art-science projects can present their ideas to established mentors. This session offers an opportunity to develop and receive feedback on new project approaches. Participants interested in this interdisciplinary dialogue are invited to submit their proposals until October 13.
Following a Networking Lunch, the program will continue with Exploring New Opportunities for Art, Science, and Technology Collaborations. The goal is to present new ways of collaboration to foster innovation, creativity, and social transformation. In a series of lectures, speakers will present new approaches that combine art and creative processes with scientific research and technological developments. We will hear from leading voices in the S+T+ARTS initiative, the New European Bauhaus movement, the KIC EIT projects, and others.
The lecture series will be followed by live workshops and discussions that inspire to discover new innovative projects and interdisciplinary approaches to collaboration.
Conference participation is free upon registration and open to all who are interested in redefining the boundaries between art and science.
