Change of Management

On September 1, 2025, Dr. Jörg-Maxton-Küchenmeister will take up his post at the Schering Foundation, succeeding Dr. Katja Naie, who left the foundation on June 30, 2025.
Dr. Maxton-Küchenmeister brings extensive experience in science management and scientific education to the foundation. He has been active in the foundation sector for many years, most recently as Head of Natural Sciences at the Joachim Herz Foundation and as Chairman of the Board of the Anser anser Foundation, based in Hamburg. From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Maxton-Küchenmeister was Secretary General of the Academy of Sciences in Hamburg and previously headed the office of the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Frankfurt am Main.
