Stefan Selke teaches at Furtwangen University and has been a research professor for "Public and Transformative Science" since 2015. He studied aerospace engineering and eventually earned his doctorate in sociology. Selke is the founder of the Public Science Lab and editor of the magazine for public science "Zugluft". As a disciplinary border crosser, Selke is regularly present outside of science as a speaker, book author as well as an interlocutor with the media. He is the winner of the Wolfgang Heilmann Prize of the Integrata Foundation 2021 on the topic of "Human Utopia as a Design Framework for Post-Corona Society". Currently, Selke is a Research Fellow for Space Flight and Future Narrative at the headquarters of the European Space Agency in Paris, where he conducts research on the topic of departure and future euphoria.

 

Professor Creutzig is a world leader in research on climate change mitigation in cities, the transport sector and lifestyle issues. He coordinated the chapter on demand, services and social aspects of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's Assessment Report on Climate Solutions published in 2022. He is a group leader at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change and Professor of Urban Sustainability Economics at TU Berlin. Professor Creutzig has been a visiting scholar at Princeton University, the University of California, Berkeley, and the Energy Foundation in Beijing. His pioneering research on mitigating climate change in cities was awarded the Piers Sellers Prize by the University of Leeds in 2017. Felix was a Fellow of the Studienkolleg zu Berlin and President of the alumni organisation Netzwerk Europa. Felix Creutzig studied physics, mathematics and medicine and received his PhD in theoretical neuroscience.
