A German-Czech concert series is scheduled for early 2009.
Additional information can be found at: www.klangnetz.org
The German-Polish concert series “A River Has Two Banks” will present music by young Polish and German composers in the German cities of Goerlitz, Berlin and Cottbus. The concert series is part of the Central and Eastern Europe Music Exchange Program sponsored by Klangnetz e. V.
This program promotes the dialogue between young composers and musicians from different countries by presenting new trends in classical music in the participating countries at prestigious concert venues in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
The Schering Stiftung supports the music exchange program as part of its efforts to promote the arts and culture as well as the dialogue between Germany and Eastern Europe. The music project initiated by Klangnetz e. V. perfectly combines these goals of the Foundation: It promotes not only the exchange between young composers and musicians from different countries, but also new trends in classical music in Poland, the Czech Republic and Germany.
