On November 24, 2025, the Schering Stiftung awards its two prestigious science prizes for pioneering basic research in medicine, biology, and chemistry in Berlin.
The Schering Stiftung awards the Ernst Schering Prize 2025 to Volker Haucke is honored his pathbreaking research on signaling lipids, which revolutionizes our understanding of cellular processes and enables new therapies for cancer and neuronal diseases. The prize comes with a prize money of 50,000 euro.
The Schering Stiftung awards the Young Investigator Award 2025 for the first time to Dr. Agnes Toth-Petroczy for her outstanding work on the evolution, diversity, and function of proteins – especially those that are still largely unexplored. The research award comes with a prize money of 10,000 euros.
