New season of the joint event series of the Neuköllner Oper and the Schering Stiftung.

In the heart of the city, around the Museum Island, we will once again embark on a journey of discovery with experts from science, philosophy, and music to find answers to essential questions: Which thought patterns can offer us support and guidance today? And what role can music play in this?

The WUNDERKAMMER TRILOGY starts at the Neues Museum with an exploration of ancient Egyptian culture. Its fundamental thoughts about God, the world, and humans are the starting points for our research, mirroring phenomena of our time in which ties and responsibilities seem to erode – whether in relation to nature, society, or the belief in a transcendental existence.

The second stage is dedicated to the role of ethics in light of current findings in the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Finally, during the third stage, we will sail on the Spree river to “Utopia Island” in search of new blueprints for the future.
