At this year’s 12th Forum Wissenschaftskommunikation themed “Science Meets Art,” the Schering Stiftung, in cooperation with the STATE Festival Foundation, offers a workshop on the topic of “ArtScience 101: How to Organize an Art-Science Collaboration.”
The workshop is aimed at science communicators who are interested in organizing an art-science collaboration. An ideas marketplace with competency workshops provides participants with a best-practice primer for the organization of a trans-disciplinary project. The Schering Stiftung, with its long expertise at the interface of science and art, wants to share its experiences with other actors and thus pave the way – and provide long-term support – for collaborations between science and art at scientific instiutions. We will be joined by speakers Ellen Blumenstein (curator and Artistic Director, Kunst und Kultur in der HafenCity, Hamburg) and Agnes Meyes-Brandis (artist, Cologne) who will talk about various aspects of art-science collaboration.
