There is a war in Ukraine. For many people, especially abroad, it is a global conflict between East and West. But for Ukrainians, this conflict is not abstractly global, but very concrete: it is an integral part of their everyday life. Within the framework of a theatre and performance festival, the project „¡Everything is Different?“ wants to reflect the conflict and to give the affected people a voice.

The project “¡Everything is Different?” is winner of the competition “kultur-im-dialog.eu+ 2015” (Culture in Dialogue.eu+). Since 2008, the Schering Stiftung in cooperation with MitOst e.V., invite submissions to its annual competition that aims to promote cultural projects dealing with the individual experiences and national transformation processes in Europe and its neighboring regions. The organisers of “¡Everything is Different?” under the direction of Peter Schwarz invite artists of the performing arts to take part in a contest with a performance of 15 – 20 minutes duration. A jury will choose the most interesting projects, which will be invited to the festival. Performances that have already been shown somewhere else are also welcome.
