Science on Stage Festival 2018
Making children and youth fit for STEM? It’s the teachers that matter! Through the National Science on Stage Festival on November 16–18, 2018, the association Science on Stage Deutschland e.V. aims to promote the personal dialogue and further training of STEM teachers from elementary school through senior year.
Held at the MDC.C at Campus Berlin-Buch, the festival brings together 100 STEM teachers from all over Germany to present innovative teaching concepts “from teachers for teachers” that will get students excited about science, technology, and IT. Particularly successful ideas will subsequently be disseminated through workshops and teaching materials. This way, teachers learn from each other and get inspired and motivated. The event is supported by, among others, the Schering Stiftung, with the goal of helping improve STEM classes and recruiting young teachers for the MINT subjects.
On Open Day, November 17, 2018, interested teachers from Berlin-Brandenburg are invited to visit the festival and get to know the MDC.C and other research institutions on campus. If you are interested, please send a brief message to info@science-on-stage.de.
