Avrion Mitchison Prize

for the best experimental, clinical or epidemiological research work in the field of chronic inflammation

The German Rheumatism Research Center Berlin (DRFZ) awards the annual Avrion Mitchison Prize for the best experimental, clinical or epidemiological research work in the field of chronic inflammation. The prize honors outstanding work by young scientists in the German-speaking countries. It was funded until 2018 by the Schering Stiftung. Since 2019, the prize money of 3,000 euros has been funded by the DRFZ.

Call for entries

The work must deal with a rheumatology-related topic. Invited submissions include doctoral or diploma theses already accepted by the University, or scientific papers (in German or English) already published or accepted for publication. The work must not be older than 18 months at the time of submission.
